Microsoft Excel – Highlighting cells with duplicate values

In todays post we will be highlighting cells with duplicate values, to do this carry out the following steps:

  1. Start by highlighting the range of cells where duplicates may exist.
  2. Within the ‘Home‘ tab click on ‘Conditional Formatting‘ button, within the dropdown click ‘Highlight Cells Rules‘ and in the next sub menu click ‘Duplicate Values…
  3. A pop up window will appear click ‘OK’

This will highlight all duplicate cell values within the spreadsheet with a light red fill and dark red text.
