Microsoft Excel – Highlight differences between two rows

In this post we will highlight any differences that may exist within two rows in our Excel spreadsheet, to do this carry out the following steps below. This process can be especially useful to find any outliers or anomalies within your spreadsheet in a matter of seconds.

  1. Start by highlighting the rows where your duplicate row values may exist.
  2. Within the ‘Home‘ tab click on ‘Find & Select button, within the dropdown click ‘Go To Special…’.
  3. A pop up window will appear, tick the option named ‘Row differences‘ and then click ‘OK‘.
